“ We (a party of 5) visited the Sunset 44 Bistro for the first time in many years. It has changed location since then but the new location is great, with plenty of parking, and good seating options indoors and out. The attention was good with one minor exception. After a trainer and new server came to take our drink order, and after returning with the drinks and explaining the specials, they disappeared for the longest time. I actually had to go and search for them to tell them we would like to order some appetizers. After that all went well. I had asked for a quiet place when I made the reservation and they gave us a very nice space that allowed for conversation. The food was all exceptional. Two of us had the special, which was a 12 oz steak. I’d asked for medium rare and my friend medium, and both were cooked to perfection. And the appetizers were also excellent: toasted ravioli and empanadas. We were all very happy with our experience at Sunset 44 Bistro and will definitely be back soon. ”
“ We had our daughter’s rehearsal dinner here on August 2nd, 2024. Everything was just perfect. Nothing but great compliments from our family and friends. We had 58 people attend. The food was delicious. Service was awesome. Such a nice atmosphere for us to visit with our family and friends. ”
“ My wife had the Pilot House Chicken and I had the Pistachio Chicken. Both were delicious, but I particularly liked the Pistachio Chicken with the grilled mushrooms and sauce. Angeline, our server, was particularly delightful and you should try and get her if possible. They do extras which other places don't do. They serve you home made crackers and cheese spread, rolls, cookies at the end of the meal and a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. I also liked that it was quiet and easy to have a conversation. I also like the parking lot so it makes it easy to get into and you don't need to park on the street. ”

“ Really, really nice place. Surprisingly large inside. I ordered the Braised Short Rib Ravioli. Wife ordered the special, which was Scallops . Both were excellent. Service was great. Parking was a little tough because the lot is so small, but we found a spot. Will go again. ”
“ Visited Sunset 44 for our wedding anniversary! Our first time there! We had heard good things and it was even better than anticipated! My husband had the pork tenderloin which was so good! I had the salmon with veggies and that was delicious as well! We also had the brownie pie which was super yummy! Service was awesome! Highly recommend!! ”

My fiance had the pasta with clams and said it was really good too. I would recommend eating here whenever you're looking for a nice place for dinner! ”
“ Amazing food, staff is even better. The quality of the menu and the staff justify the higher prices. I definitely recommend coming here for special events or catering, that is where the Menendez family shines. Possibly the most under-rated brunch in St Louis. ”
